Zoila’s Bistro

Sopa Marinara

Just a bit back I had the opportunity to go to Zoila’s Bistro, New York 302, Circleville, NY.  A Latin restaurant tucked away in a little strip center behind the deli right at the junction of Route 302 and Goshen Turnpike.

I’ll admit the decor wasn’t my style but it’s nice, the lighting however was a touch bright for the elegance of the food.   A dimmer could do wonders for evening dining.

I went in late on a Wednesday night with little expectations.   I left in awe.  The service was outstanding.   Very attentive but non intrusive.  Our server had a good knowledge of the food and a passion for it.   This led me to choose mussels in an overflowing bowl.  The best mussels I ever ate.  Dinner just got better from here.  It included an authentic latin beef dish, a white seafood stew with lobster ($12 for LOBSTER), and for dessert a coconut flan and pumpkin creme brûlée.

It was far better than in the pictures and they look delicious.
