 War Veterans Memorial Pool, 39 Frank Shorter Way, Middletown, NY ready for reopening as part of million dollar project.

Finishing Touches are continuing this week in preparation for the ribbon cutting ceremony Monday morning at 10:30 June 30, 2014.  Mayor Joseph DeStefano announced the event to  celebrate the one-million dollar renovation of the pool and addition of a new splash deck.

Splash Deck at War Veterans Memorial Pool

The high tech splash deck with hoop sprays and other assorted  water features  is poised and  ready for fun and entertainment for children this summer.

The War Veterans Memorial Pool was originally constructed in the 1940’s after World War II.   It is on the grounds of Francher Davidge Park.  It overlooks the lake at the park which is pictured below.   Walking trails, picnic tables and playground areas are available if you come to visit the new pool.
