A Middletown Apartment Landmark Reopens It’s Doors.

The Gegorian

Right over the front door is the name of the building.   It is Gregorian.

Sounds historic.  Tracing the origin of the name back to the 1500’s and the first popes named Gregory.

I was looking up the history of the building and found ads on line from 100 years ago in the Middletown Press for apartments here.     The Middletown City records say the building was built in 1875.

Recent pictures of it on Google show it as being partially boarded up.   But that’s not the case now.

The building was purchased this fall by new owners and they’ve been busy refurbishing all of the apartments.   They have made quite an investment in the building to make sure all of the new residents here are going to be happy.

All of the electric, plumbing, and heating systems have been overhauled.   All of the apartments and hallways have been painted.

This is a convenient location.   Are you familiar with Walk Scores?   This building scores 91 out of 100.  This means you can live here without a car.  Stores, supermarkets, banks, restaurants, cafes, banks, and bus transportation are all nearby within walking distance.

Currently six apartments are available for rent.   All of them are one-bedroom units.  Each apartment has a bedroom, living room, kitchen and full bath.    Some apartments have a rear entrance to a balcony or back porch.

Heat and hot water is included in all of the rents.

The Gregorian Building is now accepting applications from prospective tenants.   Now through the end of January the landlords will be paying the real estate fees for qualified tenants.

The full details on rents and other information on the building is in the Multiple Listing Service (MLS)  listing report which will follow this post.
